Vocabulary
"Logging into your account" means different things to different people. It means at least 4 different things to us here.
This is a general overview of the log in options for your account. Since folks don't log into their control panel or webmail or whatever very often, it's normal to forget the web address to log in and the names we use to communicate where one is logging into. This is a quick guide that will get you up to speed so that we're all speaking the same language. In all of the following examples, you will need to change "use-your-domain.com" to your actual domain name.
Some definitions you should know:
If you can use the following terms, we'll all be on the same page.
Domain Name: This is your registered address name on the internet. For example: use-your-domain.com. Common missunderstandings: Often people add "www." or use an email address such as johndoe@use-your-domain.com when we ask for their domain name which is incorrect.
URL or Web Address: This is the full website address. It typically begins with http://, is followed by a domain name, and possibly a more refined file name. For example: http://use-your-domain.com/webmail is the web address where you log into webmail. Common missunderstandings: People say terms like "my account" or "webmail" or "control panel" but all of these things don't specifically identify the actual web address that the person is using. The assumption is that everyone knows what is meant by these terms and that is not the case.
Control Panel: This is the interface you can log into to manage many aspects of your hosting account. Once logged in to the control panel you can add email boxes, change features, view statistics and much more.

Email Address: this is the specific identifier to your email box. Example: johndoe@user-your-domain.com.
Email Program: This is the software used to access your email box and send and recieve email. Typically this is a program that runs on your home or office computer such as Outlook or Thunderbird. It can also be the webmail program which is a web based interface that you access through your web browser.
Webmail: Webmail is an email program that is designed to be access through a web browser. The actual program resides on the server rather than your home or office computer.
