Command Center User Manual

Some items shown here may not be in your Command Center. These items may be added to your account for a nominal fee. Ask your Account Manager for more info.

	Getting Started
	Account Management tool :: provides you with instant access to your account, package, resource, and billing information. You can also set alarms that notify you when you’ve exceeded your disk or transfer quota.
	Billing History :: This feature keeps you up to date on your account balances and billing history. You can view your past purchases and invoices.
	Change Password :: This tool makes changing the password for your site quick an easy.
	Resource Meter :: This tool provides detailed status of disk, e-mail, mailing list usage and data transfer for the month as well as past months. It’s always a good idea to keep a watchful eye on your usage so that you don’t incur additional charges.
	Upgrade :: If at any time your needs change and you want more features, click on the upgrade button. This tools not only allows you to add features, but also lets you add disk space, e-mail addresses, and additional transfer bandwidth.

	Email Tools
	Mail Manager :: Manage and modify email boxes, mailing lists, auto responders.
	SpamVault :: Strong yet easy to learn spam blocking tool written by our own programmers.
	Gateway Defender :: GatewayDefender is a managed service whose entire purpose is to eliminate email threats from spam, viruses, worms, and other nasties.
	WebMail :: Now you can get your email from anywhere using a browser connected to the Inernet. No need to use or set up special email software, just use your browser to manager all of your email boxes.
	Mailing List :: If you’ve ever subscribed to a mailing list you know how this tool works. Whenever a subscriber (available to anyone on the internet) writes to the mailing list, the message is distributed to all the other subscribers. This ongoing dialog of information allows groups with common interests to discuss issues and get answers 24 hours a day. The Mailing List option allows you to install, create, and maintain as many mailing lists as your package allows.
	FormMail :: If you want to collect user information and orders or feedback, forms are a great way to do this. Form Mail converts the data from web site forms into e-mail and delivers them to your inbox for review. The help file for FormMail is included within the tool.
	PGPMail :: PGPMail is just like FormMail except that it has the unique ability to encrypt the data being e-mailed to you. Encrypted e-mail provides a high level of security from prying eyes and hackers. Note: You must first have PGP installed on your local PC, and create a PGP key pair before uploading the key to the server. You’ll use PGP on your local e-mail client to decipher the encrypted information from the server.
	PGP :: This option will install your PGP key on the server for use with PGPMail to encrypt any forms information being e-mailed out of our server. 	Web Site Management
	FTP Access :: All accounts come with FTP access to upload your web site pages. You will need an FTP application for this purpose. File Transfer Protocal (FTP) programs.
	Anonymous FTP :: If you plan on sharing or distributing files to the public, anonymous FTP is an efficient way of doing so.
	Onymous FTP :: Special FTP accounts set up to allow private FTP access to certain folders in your account so you can exchange files with clients or friends.
	Front Page Extensions :: FrontPage users have the full support of Microsoft’s FrontPage extensions. You’re not restricted to a particular publishing package, but we make the FrontPage extensions available to those who wish to use them.
	FileManager :: This is a handy tool if you want to move files between your computer and the server. Think of it as a browser based FTP tool. The File Management tool also comes in handy when you need to edit files that are on the server. You can do it live in real time.
	Password Protect Directories :: Would you like to keep certain web pages on your site private? Perhaps, make them accessible only to your sales staff or clients? Using this option, you can password-protect any directory within your site. This will prevent users from viewing the contents of a directory without permission. You can allow one or more users access to this private area.
	Secure Server :: Our servers come with server wide SSL certificates so that you can have encrypted pages with purchasing an additional certificate. Some clients prefer to have their own certificate and that’s what this option is for. This is critical for all pages that transfer private information like credit card numbers, personal information, passwords etc.

	Statistics Package :: At a glance you can see a graphical analysis of the traffic that your web site is drawing. This is very handy to guage the success of your marketing efforts.

	Programming Tools
	MySQL :: If you want to track information for recall using a database, MySQL is your solution. MySQL is a database engine that you can use with your site. This feature of the Command Center will allow you to create a new MySQL database and manage it. You will be able to add/edit/delete tables, fields and values. You can also run queries on the database if you need to.
	SSH Telnet :: SSH is provided only in special situations to clients with an established relationship with EZ2BA.COM. Users also need an RSA Key entered in the control panel in order to access it. You will also need to use commercial SSH software.

	Site Tools
	Counter :: This is a useful tool for keeping track of how often a page (or pages) has been viewed by visitors. This tools allows you to put a graphical counter on your web site. With the counter tool, you can initiate the counter for your use, set up a counter on one or more of your pages. Here you can also reset your counter.
	Mime Types :: Certain programs like Real Audio and Flash may require special identification for delivery. The MIME Types tool allows you to set up these special identifiers so that they transfer properly to a visitors browser.
	Redirect URL :: If you’ve ever moved a page or a web site you’ve probably left it up to people who visit that page regularly or have it bookmarked to find the new location. With Redirect URL you can point them in the correct direction. Although there are ways to redirect a browser using HTML, this method is much quicker because it’s done at the server level.
	Archive Manager :: Archive Manager allows you to compress/decompress the files you have on the server for backup purposes. After archiving your files or directories you can transfer them quickly to your own computer as a personal backup. Our server is backed up daily but you may wish to have a backup yourself as a safeguard against disaster. Archive Manager makes this quick and easy.
	Network TroubleShooter :: The Network Troubleshooter runs a trace route from our server to your local PC. You can also trace from your web site on our server to any other location on the Internet. A trace route shows the path that information travels over the Internet to go from one location to another. If you are experiencing slowness or problems when connecting to your web site, you can use this tool to see a snapshot of where the problem is occurring between your local computer and the server.
	Virtual Name Servers :: TheVirtual Name Server option allows you to create virtual domains on the existing server. This allows you to use name servers that include your domain name.

	ECommerce
	AlaCart :: Our shopping cart is a highly configurable, database driven shopping cart program that can store up to 20 products. This is a great tool for simple quick ecomm sites. You can add pictures of products and much more. Our site took about an hour to learn and set up. If you want a full blown ecommerce solution, including true merchant status you should contact support for information on upgrading or for info on our full blown Ecommerce Suite.

	PowerScriptZ
	IkonBoard :: Ikonboard is a comprehensive web bulletin board system. Ikonboard allows you to post messages, respond to messages, start a poll, discuss over forums, and thereby create a unique community on your website. Ikonboard also provides multi-lingual support to the moderation and administration features.
