Onymous FTP

Onymous is the antonym of Anonymous. Which is what this option is all about. Onymous FTP is set up to allow one or more folders to be available for private uploade/download by only users which you give access priviledges to. For example, if you exchange files with a client and don't want anyone to have access to these files and don't want to give your client full FTP access to your account. Onymous FTP is for you.

Anonymous FTP is a nice secure service that we provide for one or more special users. However, it does have it's drawbacks since it is open to the entire world. A few reasons that anonymous FTP is not always a good option is that anyone can upload files to your account, and thus, jam your disk space full of junk. Also, the bandwidth used by these people will be counted against your total for the month. We clearly needed a better solution. We call it, Onymous FTP!

To get Onymouse FTP, you'll need to make a special request to have it installed on your account. There is a charge for this which is listed on our extras page. You will need to provide us with the user name(s) you wish to use with the special account. We'll set it up and respond with the folder name and the password.
